Bank manager

The Pastel Bank Manager add-on module eliminates the process of manually capturing transactions from your bank statement. Download an electronic bank statement from any major bank, map the bank transactions to the correct ledger accounts in your books, and the system will automatically assign the transactions for you after each import. Reconciling your bank account has never been quicker and easier.

Cash manager

Pastel Cash Manager is a debtor’s management system that’s suitable for any business in any industry that seeks to optimise their debtor’s collection process. Unlike other products which tend to focus on the macro level, this is a hands-on practical system that automates the daily control of the debtor’s book.

Point of Sale

Pastel Point of Sale (POS) is an affordable, simple and secure retail solution. Powerful, yet easy to set-up and operate, Pastel POS is keyboard friendly for fast processing. Simple screens and large display areas make this cashier-based system ideal for any till point. Pastel POS does not work as a stand-alone module. In order to run Pastel POS you will require Pastel Xpress or Pastel Partner.

Multi-Currency

The Pastel Multi-Currency module allows you to define a currency for each customer, supplier and bank account. It is fully Euro compliant and supports European Union processing.

Receipting

Pastel Receipting is a specialised add-on module that allows you to enter data once in order to process and print receipts. You can do this without having to use your cash book. Once you are ready, Pastel Receipting will automatically move the receipts into your cash book for you.

Multi-Warehousing

Together with the Pastel Partner Inventory module, the Pastel Partner Multi-Warehousing module allows you to set-up and use multiple stores or warehouses. Working with multiple stores is almost identical to working with normal inventory. The only difference is that each time you want to access an inventory item, you specify the store in which the item exists.

 

Business Intelligence Centre - Standard & Advanced

Pastel’s Business Intelligence Centre allows you to analyse any aspect of your business, including financial, sales, inventory and purchasing reporting, as long as the information is stored in an accessible database. It dynamically links to Microsoft Excel where your information can be viewed and manipulated to give you greater insight into your business. You can either utilise many of the Business Intelligence Centre’s standard reports or create your own - either way you’re set to go beyond accounting.

 

Bill of Materials

With the Pastel Partner Bill of Materials module you can create bills of materials or kit item codes with an unlimited number of components. For example you can use three additional user defined costs such as labour, overheads and buy-outs. When you manufacture you can remove component items and create manufactured items. This module will operate if you have purchased the Pastel Partner Inventory module.

Time & Billing

The Pastel Partner Time and Billing module allows you to bill your employees’ time to your customers. Simply fill out timesheets for your employees and charge your customers via activities. The activities that you create are the services you sell to your customers.

Serial Number Tracking

Pastel Partner Serial Number Tracking allows you to track items from the moment you purchase or manufacture them to the time you sell them. You can even track the item for warranty purposes should it be returned to you for repairs.

Fixed Assets*

Good business practice requires that you keep a register of your business' fixed assets as part of it’s accounting records. However, managing your company’s fixed assets can be tedious and time-consuming. Fixed assets are physical items such as desks, computers, cars, machinery, etc which you acquire to run your business. As you use assets, they depreciate or become obsolete. You can legally expense depreciation in your accounts for tax purposes.

Managing your fixed assets includes the following tasks:

  1. Tracking each asset’s value, both from a tax and an accounting point of view
  2. Depreciating assets correctly using an appropriate depreciation rate and method
  3. Updating the replacement values of your fixed assets for insurance purposes
  4. Accurately recording any sale, disposal or loss of assets
  5. Maintaining an accurate fixed assets register which records information such as: date of purchase; date of disposal; purchase price; accumulated depreciation; net book value etc.

The Pastel Evolution Fixed Assets module automates all these processes for you. Once you provide the initial information, the system takes over and manages your assets for you. One of the realities of fixed assets processing is that companies frequently change depreciation rules as legislation allows and as company policy changes. Some changes are retroactive to when you purchased the asset. Pastel Evolution Fixed Assets calculates its values dynamically from the start of each asset’s life, which makes retroactive changes simple. Imagine the time required to accurately programme all this yourself into a spreadsheet! Pastel Evolution Fixed Assets can be used in conjunction with the core Pastel Evolution Accounting system or can be purchased as a stand-alone product.
